The annual RBS Six Nations Rugby Championship has now began. Tagged as being Rugby's 'Greatest Championship', the city of Rome hosts the country's home matches. Italy's home matches are at the glorious Stadio Olimpico, where the 1960 Summer Olympics were held. The stadium has a capacity of over 70,000 spectators and provides a great venue for a day of invigorating sport and a warm, friendly atmosphere. All the best of Europe's rugby nations, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy and France take part in the championship with the final matches being played on 19th March 2016.
During the two matches being held at the Olympic Stadium (Italy v England - 14th February and Italy v Scotland - 27th February), the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities and the 'Sovrintendenza Capitolina' are offering free admission to participating museums in Rome for ticket holders of either of the home mathches. Free admission is valid on the 12-14th and 26-28th February during each museum's normal open hours and is valid for the ticket holder and a companion.
